That Little Boy

Prayer was brought back to school one day,
by little Sarah Beth.
She said a simple prayer in class,
to do well on a test.
She took her test and prayed again,
her prayer, it was not long.
No one could stop her from praying then,
she didn't know it was wrong.


Four years later she told her friends,
to pray to Jesus too.
Three months later, they were tol
d, that it was wrong to do.
Two weeks later they were shot,
killed by a boy with a gun.
One day later, he killed himself,
he realized not what he had done.

That boy was not a bad person,
he had just never known,
The love that Jesus had for him,
because he was never shown.
That little boy didn't know the Lord,
prayer was against the law.
That law has killed several people,
yet the Supreme Court never saw.
The law holds many dangers,
and yet they still don't see.
I said a prayer in school today,
that the next one wasn't me.
