The simple, 3 minute a day breathing excercise
You should do this excercise before you go to bed, and if you can, before you go to school.
You should also create a relaxed setting, by lying on a pillow, listening to calm music, having the lights out and even closing
the door - so it's just you
- Step #1:
Put your right hand on your lower stomach (near your belly button) and put your left hand near
your lungs
- Step #2:
Take a deep breath, as much as you can, and hold it for a few seconds
- Step #3:
Using your right hand (which should be placed on your stomach), gently push your stomach in, until
it can't be pushed in anymore
- Step #4:
Repeat the previous three steps for 3 or more minutes
By doing this, in a relaxed setting, you relax your body, pushing stress out of the way. Your body
gets calm, and you feel good. For many people, not everyone, this helps to eliminate stress and either
relieves them of some of the discomforts of stress (stomach aches, headaches, etc)
